Jabari K. Smith, author, mentor, entrepreneur, and athlete. Jabari’s professional experience has comprised 10 years of working with student athletes. He is the author of Life’s Playbook: 11 Plays to Success; a blueprint originally written for student athletes on ‘how to become successful in life by using Sports principles’. In 2016, Jabari released a 2nd edition of Life’s Playbook revised and updated. Jabari learned that the impact of the principles identified in the playbook were universal and adapted by not only student athletes, but other industries. Non-sport related youth groups, women’s groups and individuals and professionals from all walks of life, to name a few.
Jabari’s professional experience also includes financial advisor with Northwestern Mutual combined with a successful career as a Corporate Sales Executive for the WNBA, Los Angeles Sparks, Co-founder of MTAA, a non-profit mentoring organization for student athletes and host of The Professional Athlete podcast show- how to be successful in life after the game. Mr. Smith holds a Master degree in Organizational Management and Leadership Development, at Spring Field College and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Studies, from Texas Tech University, where he also played Defensive Back on the University’s football team.
Jabari's purpose is to help X collegiate and professional athletes who are struggling with the transition learn how to self-reflect, find clarity, identify and take deliberate action on the necessary steps toward achieving the ultimate mindset reset.
